How long do you want our soldiers to be in Iraq? What is our purpose there?

Wednesday, September 14th, 2011
Encourager asked:

One year, two years or indefinite.

Three things I feel America needs to do:

1. Learn Iraq’s language
2. Respect their religion
3. Eat their food if we are going to be successful at building a strong democratic society in Iraq or leave an abandon the mission altogether.

Eric

Monday, September 12th, 2011
♥♥Mrs SSG B♥♥ asked:

My husband’s unit is mobiliznig in a few weeks and I was just thinking I’d send him with stamps for writing letters and I wondered if we use regular postage stamps, or if you need different postage when sending letters to a Soldier in Iraq. Thanks!

How long are the terms for the marines and the tours in Iraq?

Monday, September 5th, 2011
Bigasian asked:

I know the Army offers 3-5 year terms but how long is a term in the marines. I am considering joining but I have a lot of education ahead of me and a one year difference is a long time. Also, how long are the tours in Iraq? I’ve heard of three months to eighteen months.

How can Iraq become a democratic Nation?

Saturday, August 27th, 2011
john b asked:

Thesis: Nurturing democracy there after Saddam won’t be easy. But it may not be impossible either. Iraq has several assets doing for it, including an educated middle.

How can an educated middle class help Iraq become a democratic nation?

I need to find commentary and concrete details. I would appreciate it if you can help as I don’t listen to the news that much.

What would the US have to do to successfully withdraw all troops from Iraq?

Sunday, August 14th, 2011
aclie asked:

By successful, I mean how would they avoid State failure. What would they have to put in place to make sure that Iraq could survive without interference from other States?
Some sort of democratically elected government with public support? What else?

How do some soldiers get deployed to iraq without experiencing injury or being killed?

Sunday, August 14th, 2011
Gary Gaines asked:

This question might sound retarded but I am just curious because knowing that war is going on in iraq such as all those bombings and shootings in combat, some soldiers go to war and serve many times in iraq then make it back home without any injuries or battle scar on them like how do they survive all that. This makes me want to join the army and have confident in myself that nothing will happen to me.
