Why are liberal 0crats who were vehemently opposed to Iraq now cheering on the Libya operation?

Community Organizer in Chief asked:

Hypothetically, can we flip the roles and say that the same 0crats would have favored Iraq if a member of their own party was in the White House at the time?
Here comes the spin…

Some of you should submit your resumes to MSNBC or one of the other 0bama spinmaster networks, since you are such skilled spinmaster. I would even be willing to be used as a reference. If I see good work, I will acknowledge it.

Perhaps you don’t understand the difference between a full scale invasion and enforcing a UN sanctioned no-fly zone.

No liberal is actually cheering that we’re involved. But we’re not foaming at the mouths like conservatives because there haven’t been any troops deployed.

If you can’t understand the difference between an air campaign and a ground campaign that has cost us 1 trillion dollars and thousands of dead american soldiers, then we don’t have much to talk about.

I’m a liberal and I don’t agree with the US involvement in Libya. People are hypocrites.

We should be worried about getting our deficit under control and stop adding to the expenses.

While your attempt to comprehend, to understand the rational of how the liberal mind works is laudible, here’s is the brick wall you will inevidably confront: Liberalism/socialism is a religion; one cannot reason with religious zealots.

With Libya, there is just something really cool about people rising up in an anarchistic way to stand up against a crazy dictator. And Iraq was just the republicans attempt to make a stupid video game scenario a reality.

  16. Captain Microwave says:

Why are conservatives against the Libya operation but were in favor of Iraq? In the end, both sides just stick up for their own. A lot of conservatives would love what obama does if it was their people in charge, and a lot of liberals would be fine with what Bush did if it was Obama doing it right now… which in a way it is.
