Should the US stay longer in Iraq if the Shiites and Sunnis start fighting each other again?
Vic M asked:
Violence in Iraq is up again. Should the US military stay longer in Iraq to quell it? If not, would that jeopardize George W. Bush’s mission of a stable and peaceful Iraq?

leave it to O to lose the war that Bush won. Bush leaves O an easy layup and O manages to miss the rim and toss the ball out of bounds, already??
No.
We should get out as soon as possible.
And Bush didn’t have a “mission”, except to get rid of Saddam. He didn’t plan or care about what happened next.
There’s going to be a US security force there for several years, but the main troop presence will be slowly removed. At some point the Sunnis and Shiites are going to have to work their differences out alone. I think this is going to work…IMO, we may very well have strong allies there.
Bush only wanted to finish what his father started – get suddam hussein, who was actually NO threat to the US. and sunni and shiite fighting is bad, but interfering will cost us more than our economy. oops, too late…it’s already happening..we need to GET OUT and QUIT wasting taxpayer dollars on anything but our own selves – this is a capitalist country, and as such we cannot afford to be watching out for anyone’s interests but our own. I’m sorry if that’s selfish, but it’s true.
none of our business if they want to kill themselves and what makes you think we are leaving, we’re still going to have 65,000 troops there for many years to come. the only thing that will stop is the msm telling us the body count. (not real sure they are telling us now)
