Replacing currency isn’t the answer in Iraq. It’s a social and religious issue that causes sectarian violence. It’s a political and religious struggle between the Shias, who now have majority control of the Iraqi government, and Sunnis, who now fear major incidents of revenge because of the mass murders that occured while they were in control under Saddam. The only way socioeconomic progress will stabilize is when political governence takes hold & remains consistent. (A democracy is a new thing to Iraq who has really never had peace since before WWII. Then they had King Faissal II.) It will take at least a decade for Iraq to realize its potential, maybe longer, if outside forces won’t give peace a chance.
