How to send a Letter to Iraq from Seattle?
Anna A. asked:
I am sending a letter to Iraq where someone very special to me is over there. I was wondering how I send it, because he says that it goes to Missouri first, and then it gets to him. I’ve heard you only need one stamp, but is there anything else I need to know? How long would it take to get there? I’ve never sent a letter there before so I am very new to this.

Put the letter in an envelope. Seal it. Legibly write the recipients address on the envelope, make sure to have IRAQ written as the last line of the address. Put your address in the top left corner of the envelope.
Go to the post office to it and ask about the various services. Regular airmail is 94 cents, prices go up depending on weight and size of the envelope. The post office might know how long it will take for the letter to arrive in Iraq.
If you want to send it extra fast, there are special express and priority services, which are very expensive, though.
If your friend is in the US forces, … I am afraid I cannot help you further, … I have no clue how long it takes… address wise just send it to the address you have been given… the forces will do the distribution….
