What electrical adapters should I get for Iraq?
JBABS asked:
I know I need some adapters for my laptop and other electrical things, I know Iraq is 220 AC. I found several websites that offer the diff prongs and such but wondered if anyone has been over there, what worked for them. Thanks.

Those buildings in which U.S. forces stay in that were built by the Iraqis usually have the two prong, round, European style plug. later buildings specifically built by the U.S. Forces all have normal American style plugs. A nice thing about most laptops is that the transformer for the incoming power can accept 110 or 220, so all you need is a cheap plastic adaptor for the plug.
in Iraq, you get shot of (ak 47) in the forehead
I’m writing this from my office in a FOB in Baghdad, Iraq. All of the outlets here are 3 prong (two horizontal, 1 vertical) 220 AC. The adapters are sold at most FOBs for about $5.
Dont worry…you can buy them when you get here…or maybe get them for free from your shirt!
