Robert asked:

We are getting fuel from Iraq, or at least a discount in trade for helping set up police and infrastructure , right??

Iraq is a member of OPEC, which is the organization that regulates oil production and sale. When selling oil, all member nations are required to sell at the prices set by OPEC, regardless of the buyer. So the US pays the same for oil from Iraq as it does for oil from Saudi Arabia or any other major oil producing nation.

Nothing.. We invaded Iraq for oil, but republicans say “how come gas isnt cheap”?
    well
because we invaded Iraq for the oil companies not for the American people…THEY get all the oil, not us

  4. Brenton Davis says:

To date as of last year, 414,000 barrels per day. Most of the oil in the United States that is imported comes from Canada (1,972,000 barrels per day), Mexico (1,140,000 barrels per day), and South America (1,728,000 barrels per day).
