How many American soldiers die in the Iraq war each month?

Francine asked:

I’m writing a report on why I think the Iraq war should end and I need an estimate. Could someone help me out please?

  1. Ooh-Rah says:

Not many. Causalities are minimum. Maybe 2 or 3 have died in Iraq this month.

  2. Carmen says:

2 – 3 too many. We should just withdraw, but then they’d see us through as weak.

  3. Miranda_Bella says:

Why do you have to write it on why it should end?
why don’t you write on why it shouldn’t end?

And anyway it’s not that many, actually hardly any at all.

Make sure you also write about how many Americans are saved/protected every month, because some brave soldiers made the CHOICE to be in the military to keep us a free nation.

Yes its’ sad that many have lost their lives, but if we don’t go on the offense, who is to say our country won’t suffer from more terrorist attacks? The war is coming to an end; but we can’t just leave all at once and say we are done…it needs to be a slow phase out.

Unfortunately for the majority of the public, only the deaths of the soldiers are being brought to our attention through biased media. NO one seems to hear about the schools being built, the hospitals being built, the businesses that are opening and providing the Iraqi citizens with jobs, creating education for women, the Iraqi lives that were saved, the Iraqi’s that are grateful we are there, the training the Iraqi police to handle their own problems better than before………….

I have talked to many many soldiers who have been over serving, multiple times overseas. They all feel so horrible and belittled because the truth about the war isn’t being told. They are furious that their hard efforts are not being reported, and can’t believe they are fighting for a country that doesn’t support what they are doing.

You don’t end a war because of the number of soldiers that died; you end a war when you’ve finished the job and ensure no more people die. We don’t want to have to do this again because we messed it up the first time around by not finishing the job.

  6. Abdul A says:

List of U.S. Servicemembers killed since 5/1/03 to 2008
    30723 and 100000 in combat
these are the official numbers it can be more then this..

    isn;t it less …………………. :)

american kill iraqis for oil.. and in return iraqis kill american soldiers..
    tit for tat ..
for the sake of argument even if americans killed more iraqis wat they got out of it ????
obviously no one likes any army to come in its country wether it be america or saudia arabic in iraq .. they will fight

so better is dat americans should go they will also be killed like dat.
or if americans feel dat the govt. is doing bad .. then next time don;t vote otherwise the history repeats and these iraqis can come to usa for no reason and just to kill.
so better go back to ur own country and if u want oil take it with ur self .. muslims know ur so poor .. ;)

Hm considering we got Iraq back on their feet, and have already handed over 12 provinces to them, wouldn’t ending it be like snatching defeat from the jaws of victory?

Violence in Iraq is at an all time low. There is no reason to pull out until the job is done, even then, we will probably have bases there.
