How long do you want our soldiers to be in Iraq? What is our purpose there?

Encourager asked:

One year, two years or indefinite.

Three things I feel America needs to do:

1. Learn Iraq’s language
2. Respect their religion
3. Eat their food if we are going to be successful at building a strong democratic society in Iraq or leave an abandon the mission altogether.

I don’t want them to be there at all, but the fact of the matter is they are and we need to finish what we started. Any time table is not reasonable.

There was just an article today about how they’re going to send 35,000 troops to Iraq. That could be just a rumor. But I personally think it will be some years before they come back.

We should have started drawing down instead of escalating.

I don’t want them there at all! I think they should come home tomorrow. My husband’s there right now and will miss our first child being born and the first 8 months of her life…..so I’m extremely bias.

  5. Kero says:

We don’t need to eat their food, we’re giving them McDonalds. They’re one of us now…

  6. Shady man says:

I’m Telling you that “I” never wanted them there in the first place, that was all bush and Chaney’s idea.
Turns out it was a bad idea by that Tex *** cowboy.

For as long as it takes, and our purpose is to stabilize a very unstable place. If you want to know what could happen just look and see what Pol Pot did in Cambodia after the US withdrew from SE Asia. FYI we are still in Germany, Japan, Korea, and many other places.

okay… i gues one year would do

    but here:

    1. I don’t wanna learn iraq’s language whatever it may be
    2. I don’t wanna respect their religion (I’m already Christian)
    3. Their food, no offense, looks weird – I mean, lamb??? Who eats lamb???’

Well basically, the government paid in advance for some big fancy war memorial, one of the best you’ve ever seen. But they can’t begin production until they have enough names to write on the outside.

So they need to get at least probably say 8-9 thousand troops killed and then they’ll be able to with withdraw and finally this beautiful memorial can be constructed.
