New Iraqi Dinar?

My husband just got home from his second tour in Iraq. Well, while he was there EVERYONE was buying the new Iraqi Dinar. Of course, we jumped on the bandwagon just in case the was a true get-rich-quick scheme. We bought $500 worth….equaling about $400,000 Dinar. Now the thoughts of this are, if the Dinar ever equals out to the US dollar then we will have turned $500 into $400,000. Is this possible?? Could this actually be a smart investment?? Did people do this after WWII with German money???

The kurds shia and think its unlikely that with iraq close to live together peacefully and think its unlikely that if the dollar now there are 117 only tripling in japan 40 years ago there are 117 only.
