Why are we spending time and money in iraq rebuilding their country and government. while gas prices go up and they save their money and oil profits.

I thought we should stay there so they could rebuild and another hussein didn’t come take over but if we’re paying high oil prices and have a failed economy while they have a national budget surplus thats crazy
