What is one military strategy that would allow the US to win the war in Iraq?

Thursday, October 20th, 2011
DBrain asked:

Aside from what the politicians think, and how they think they can win the war in Iraq, how do YOU think this war can be won? Here is your chance to tell the world (even the President) how this war can be won. Obviously, you must take into account our current state of affairs, including all the lives that have already been lost and the potential for more lives to be lost. This question is for a military solution alone. I will post a separate question for a political solution, if there could be one.

What in your opinion is the difference between Iraq and Mexico?

Wednesday, October 19th, 2011
Dog Tricks asked:

We invaded Iraq on the premise of WMD.That proved false so now it changed to humanitarian reasons.Well,Mexico has a government that allows it’s people to starve.Mexico has a faction we would call terrorists killing and robbing the poorest of the poor in an attempt to over throw their government by scare tactic recruitment. Is the difference the fact that the Mexican government already sells ALL of it’s oil to America so we just look past the humanitarian abuses?

How many are for sending at least half the troops in Iraq to Afghanistan and eventually Pakistan?

Wednesday, October 19th, 2011
skcushsub asked:

It’s obvious our true enemies ( the guys behind 9/11 , etc. ) are in Pakistan and Afghanistan and Iraq is just a big Bush Mistake. We’ve all seen the proof that Saddam had ZERO to do with Al Qaeda and please don’t post dishonest crap claiming he did. Why don’t we have a larger portion of our troops where the true fight is? Instead of having them ***** the pooch in Iraq?
the latest Pentagon report concludes the pre-war Iraq government had nothing to do with al qaeda. It’s kinda Dumb that Bush and his thugs won’t fess up to that.

How do we know if we are winning the war in Iraq or not?

Sunday, October 16th, 2011
Socrates asked:

Yes the US military has killed thousands of terrorists/insurgents in Iraq but they’ve indirectly killed thousands (collateral damage) as well. Beside the major Al Qaeda leaders in Iraq, we have no idea how many terrorists our troops have killded so how do we know if we’re winning or losing?

Are American troops in Iraq still protecting their homecountry?

Sunday, October 16th, 2011
Mr Innocent asked:

I can still hear Americans claim that their troops in Iraq are still protecting America, which sounds odd in my ears. Isn’t the war in Iraq already won by the Americans?

Has unprovoked war with the sovereign state of Iraq undermined the opposition to Russia’s attack of Georgia?

Saturday, October 15th, 2011
Carl Marks asked:

And, in effect, cause a situation where the Cold War will now resume? So, in effect, did the USA let its guard down and ignore the real threat it faces, as an expense for the pursuit of war against Iraq?

How long do each branch actually stay in iraq?

Thursday, October 13th, 2011
mrlillulu asked:

My recruiter told me 6 months for Marines; army goes for at least a year or more. Also said that the Air force usually stay in iraq, leaves, and go back, leaves, comeback and so on. Also said that the Navy stays there for a while since they’re stuck in a ship. Sounds like bull crap?

How come liberals are against the war in Iraq, but support the war in Libya?

Tuesday, October 11th, 2011
darkrider12g asked:

Seems hypocritical to me. Is it because of who currently runs the White House? And, don’t try to tell me Iraq was about oil and this one isn’t.
