What to you think will happen in Iraq after the US leaves? Democracy or Muslim extremism?

Friday, September 30th, 2011
tamarah tanksley asked:

In Iraq the US is making great sacrifices in soldiers’ lives and spending billions of $ in order to bring it democracy.

Do you think democracy will survive there after the US leaves, or will it soon degrade to Muslim fundamentalism ?

Did president bush make money off oil industries during the Iraq operation?

Thursday, September 29th, 2011
Arnold Hicks asked:

Did George W. Bush have business ties to any oil companies that made him rich when invading iraq? One of my friends says Bush has stocks in shell gas and he made millions by invading iraq by getting cheap oil, or is this just utter bull **** conspiracy.

How much does it cost to have a package sent from Iraq to the United States?

Wednesday, September 28th, 2011
Philip M asked:

According to the USPS website it is very expensive to send a box of items to a soldier stationed in Iraq unless you use the “One Rate” boxes. However if a solider wants to send a box (Not a USPS box but their own) back is it the same price coming back or is it cheaper because they are military personnel?

I am not asking about prices to send stuff TO Iraq but to send it FROM Iraq.

Thanks for your help. The box is about 24×12x12 and weighs about 50 lbs.

Why is it not clear at the highest levels that the Afghanistan war and the Iraq war are two extremely different wars?

What have private contractors accomplished in Iraq with so much US govt money?

Saturday, September 24th, 2011
Owl_08 asked:

Huge profits are at stake in Iraq: The U.S. government already has paid more than $100 billion to private contractors performing work in the war zone.

Does the US pay the wages of Iraqi soldiers and police? Does the US pay the wages of soldiers and police in Afghanistan? Is this US bribery?

Prejudice – a negative attitude toward people who belong to a specific social group.

Suppose you work for the UN and you are trying to develop peaceful ways warring groups can come together to overcome prejudice. What steps would you tell the US President concerming Iraq? How would you reduce prejudice there?

Has Iraq ever had a stable government? How long do our troops have to be under attack?

Friday, September 23rd, 2011
The Angry Stick Man asked:

Bush has said that we can’t leave Iraq until WE feel that their government can run the country on their own. These people have never run a democracy, never run their own government, but our troops have to sit there and be under attack until they figure it out? This doesn’t seem right, what if they CAN’T get it together? They can’t even get the electricity back on!!! How can we expect these people to run a country ? And why do AMERICANS have to die while they figure it out?

It doesn’t seem smart to me to leave the fate of our service men and women up to the Iraqi government, and we are.
