What items would a soldier in Iraq enjoy recieving for the holidays?

Tuesday, August 9th, 2011
Handymam asked:

I recieved the name of both a male and female soldier stationed in Iraq (artillery division and of whom I don’t know) at church who do not have family or are not getting any letters or packages from home.

We want to make a small care/gift package to send with our letter for both of these soldiers. Do you know what items most soldiers would like to recieve the most?

Why is it difficult for Iraq to form a Democratic government?

Tuesday, August 9th, 2011
jfvolleygirl27 asked:

The United States went from a Unitary government (while still a colony of England), to a Confederate (under the Articles of Confederation), and then finally into a Federal/Democracy.

The US wants Iraq to hold a Democratic government as well. What is it about Iraq that makes this difficult?

This is a question held in my Civics class. I get that the country is unstable right now….but are there any other reasons why it is so hard for Iraq to form a Democratic gov?

How did the war in Iraq turn from self defense to an investment?

Sunday, August 7th, 2011
Lucsha asked:

I thought we went to war to defend ourselves. I watched the media briefing in Washington and the people in charge of the war in Iraq kept talking about our investment there.

Why do our leaders think that the Afghanistan war will go similar to Iraq’s war, they are extremely different?

interdependent globalized world asked:

Why is it not clear at the highest levels that the Afghanistan war and the Iraq war are two extremely different wars?

Are our politicians really that foolish?
