What companies will benefit from the latest deals selling weapons to Iraq and Afghanistan?

Monday, June 28th, 2010
iraq
Shelby P asked:

Saw a news story today, 9/14/08, about the Defense Department selling Billions of dollars of weapons to Iraq.

This of course seems shady since we sold weapons to Iraq in the early 80’s and then went in and destroyed them and also sold weapons to the Taliban a decade ago and then went in and destroyed them.

Can anyone tell me specifically what American companies are benefiting from this? I see that many of the airplanes are from Lockheed Martin.

Iraq?

Tuesday, June 22nd, 2010
iraq
D asked:

So its obvious that there are Insurgents other than Iraqis fighting in Iraq by now, whether you support Bush or not you cant deny that fact. If Iraq cant be “won” in terms that people were expecting then it cant be won, but in the mean time all of those against the US are flocking to Iraq. I liked the metaphor someone used on here a couple minutes ago, Iraq is a sh!thole, and all the flys are going right to it.

Is it now good that all of our enemys in the area are flocking to one place, where we are able to kill them all? America might not “win” the War, but they sure are taking care of alot of our enemies arent they? Can people against the War even deny that?

How do I get diagnosed with depression while in Iraq?

Sunday, June 20th, 2010
iraq
Kris asked:

I’ve been in Iraq for well over a year and while I have been pretty much out of harm’s way for the most part, it has been a rough year emotionally. I have not been diagnosed with depression before because I never saw a psychiatrist or anyone of that nature, however, I can tell you that for a good part of ten years, I’ve been having a series of depression which last for several days.

Here in Iraq, it’s been the most prominent. I would get depressed and feel empty inside and this will last for a week and then I would feel better for a week and get depressed for another week and feel better for three weeks. Usually, my depression is sudden. I would be at work and I will feel fine and then all of a sudden I would feel this uncontrollable saddness and empty feeling inside me. Almost like disappointment or like I lost something. Which would eventually turn into iritability and hostility and back to silence again.

I want to see a real psyciatrist but don’t know what to do. Thanks.

How should I represent a groomsman who will be serving in Iraq on the wedding date?

Sunday, June 20th, 2010
iraq
Dani asked:

One of the groomsmen in our wedding is being sent to Iraq and will not be able to attend. We are still going to count him as a member of the wedding party and mention in the program why he is not there. But I want to do something in the wedding to represent him somehow. Maybe have the bridesmaid he was supposed to join carry a flag or army hat. Anyone have any suggestions?

How can the US Military better defend against IED attacks in Iraq?

Friday, June 18th, 2010
iraq
C H asked:

It seems the biggest problem over in Iraq is IEDs (improvised explosive devices) they are hidden everywhere and pose a real problem to US military forces. They are working on new vehicles that are more resistant against IED attacks, but what do you think would be a good defense against IEDs? PLEASE – no anti-war junk! 10 points!

How many of you republicans now agree the war in Iraq was the wrong decision?

Sunday, June 13th, 2010
iraq
Lid asked:

I know plenty of democrats went along with it too, so its not all republican’s faults. I just find it amazing how many people will still defend Bush and say Iraq was the right thing to do. Also did any of you republicans oppose the war in the beginning?

4. The escalating power, Al-Queada is getting through the war.
5. That Iraq is distracting from the war on terror
