iraq
Since Israel became a state in 1948, has been on guard against invaders from all sides, surrounded by lifelong enemies seeking its destruction. A country, which is small always seeking a stable and peaceful relations with its neighbor in the area. For over fifty-nine years Israel, which believes in peaceful co-exissistance, has been waging a losing battle with its neighbors to stop their aggression. A longtime for any country to be concern for its security and its survival.

During the first war in 1991, between the US and Iraq, they endured Scuds missiles bombing attacks from Saddam Hussein against their homeland. They suffered destruction and lose of life; it is difficult to stand by idle while receiving missile over your head knowing they are killing your people, and not be able to retaliate because asked not to. You would think a country so small, and be under so much pressure for so long would be use to it by now. I cannot begin to imagine the frightening experience everyone goes through every day that lives in that country. Yet they go on with their normal every day lives with strive and perseverance

Israel has shown, and exercises self-restraint, more so than any other country in the region. Showing the rest of the World, they could endure hardship and misery just as they had done during the World War II and centuries before. Still be victorious by not retaliating when the US asked not to during the war with Iraq. It takes a great people, a great Nation to be well discipline-exercising self-restraint in moments of great personal danger and misfortune. The confusion they face while getting up every morning while going on with their daily routine in trying to live a normal life must be horrendous.

When Saddam Hussein started to expand its philosophy of tyranny after the Iraq, Iran War: It would have being but a matter time before he would have attacked Israel causing an incident more disastrous than he could have imagined. More so than when he invaded Kuwait. The cruel and deadly treatment he exercised against his own people while he was the Dictator is on record for all to read.

He proved to have had weapons of mass destruction when he used poisonous gas killing thousands of people in the Northern Part of Iraq. There are rumors that he used it against Iranian soldiers during his conflict with Iran. When realizing the United States would eventually be on his doorsteps, he had no other choice but to have them transported to Syria. He had them placed in under ground bunkers somewhere in the desert. One of his former General who new and was aware of their locations revealed this information to the public. It would have only been a matter of time before Saddam Hussein would have expanded his power by further using them against Israel and becoming a menace in the entire region. In miscalculating his political actions, and causing bad relations with the US, Saddam Hussein brought on his own destruction and that of his country.

However, the real threat was not Iraq but Iran; they are the ones causing all the problems in the region, they were doing it before, they are doing it now. They are the ones responsible for all turmoil in the area. They are the ones who are training all the outside fighters who are coming into Iraq to kill our soldiers. They are the ones that want to see Israel wiped off from the face of the Earth with the good old USA. Iran if left uncheck, will eventually run over the Middle East and in time challenge the USA in a Nuclear War: They will first strike Israel with nuclear weapons, and use it as an excuse to fight against the USA. They are fanatics who believe that their way is the only and right way. They know we will not hesitate to come to the aid of Israel and that is what they are seeking, the end to civilization as we know it.

Iran is the Country everyone should be concern with because they have a fanatical and crazy agenda behind their religious believes. They believe they have nothing to lose and everything to gain. Their main objective is turning the Middle East into a ball of fire or a burning inferno. They believe, by killing themselves and taking as much of the so call infidels with them they will reach heaven and have 60 virgins waiting for them. How sad in knowing there are people with such low-level of intelligence who believing such nonsense and false expectation:

Now it looks as if they may have the ability and the means to do it. The more they keep talking, the more they keep stalling. This allows them more time in which they can complete building the bomb. Once they have it, they will use it. These people do not discriminate between the races; they offer equal opportunity to erase everyone on this planet with their nuclear bomb. They will use them there is no doubt about it…

In addition, if that was not bad enough, you have Mr. Chavez, from Venezuela and Castro from Cuba, joining forces with this nut from Iran in these search for Islamic Utopia.

I call on the people of the United States, Citizens of the World, wake up… wake up… wake up. Our government should be at its highest alert, which is red. An ounce of prevention could well mean our survival. We must not aloud this to happen. Not to Israel, not to any other country and certainty not the good old USA:

We must not allow ourselves to be surprise with our pants down when the bombs are flying overhead. We must stop them now, because then it will be too late. It must be a joint effort between several countries, not just the great USA… END.

Yet it’s also a date the many volunteers and businesses who contributed labor and materials to the construction effort coordinated by Homes for Our Troops— a non-profit organization that builds and remodels specially adapted homes for severely wounded veterans—will hold close in their hearts. That’s certainly true for one of the project’s key contributors, John Massaria, owner of DirectBuy of Boston South in Rockland.

“We do our fair share in the community, but helping Homes for Our Troops build Brian and Mary a house was a project where DirectBuy could really make a difference with our access to vendors and installation services, so we dove right in,” said Massaria.

For Sgt. Fountaine’s home, DirectBuy vendors and manufacturers contributed kitchen and bathroom vanities, bamboo and tile flooring (from GW Lumber) and household appliances (from Hancock TV and Appliance). DirectBuy of Boston South offers its members the opportunity to enjoy enormous savings on home furnishings, home improvement items, entertainment and outdoor products and accessories by buying wholesale, directly from more than 700 manufacturers and their authorized suppliers.

In addition, DirectBuy of Boston South set up Brian and Mary with a DirectBuy membership that will be there throughout their entire life. Although they have only been members for less than six months, buying directly from the manufacturer, the couple has already saved a small fortune for their new home.

“We take pride in being pretty shrewd shoppers and have been pricing things on line for quite some time, so we know the savings we’re getting through DirectBuy are quite real. Even our family and friends who work in home improvement are stunned by what things actually cost us as members of DirectBuy,” said Fountaine.

Some of the things they’ve purchased include: an all-natural organic king-sized mattress and bedding, all of the bedroom furniture, three couches, a dining room table and chairs—even the custom wedding invitations for Brian and Mary’s nuptials.

“I was stunned when DirectBuy donated the entire kitchen and bath for the house. Having worked in construction prior to my tour in Iraq, I know how much all that stuff costs. But when Mary and I went there to choose the furniture and other items, we were floored not only by how much we can save but also by the incredible selection of just about everything,” said Fountaine. “What makes this an even more mind-blowing experience is that kind of selection and savings is going to be available to us and eventually our family for the rest of our lives. Thank you just doesn’t say enough for what DirectBuy has done for us.”

For Massaria, the gratitude extends both ways. “I truly believe we owe our returning troops, particularly wounded soldiers, more than a debt of gratitude. DirectBuy of Boston South’s participation in this project doesn’t bring back soldiers we’ve lost or minimize anybody’s injuries, but it more appropriately says ‘thank you,’ not just to Brian, but to all the Iraq War vets for their sacrifices,” said Massaria.

New Iraqi Dinar?

Monday, September 28th, 2009
iraqi dinar
*Proud Army Wife* asked:

My husband just got home from his second tour in Iraq. Well, while he was there EVERYONE was buying the new Iraqi Dinar. Of course, we jumped on the bandwagon just in case the was a true get-rich-quick scheme. We bought $500 worth….equaling about $400,000 Dinar. Now the thoughts of this are, if the Dinar ever equals out to the US dollar then we will have turned $500 into $400,000. Is this possible?? Could this actually be a smart investment?? Did people do this after WWII with German money???

Iraq War Footage – America Returning Fire

Monday, September 28th, 2009
flyboy172r asked:

Firstly, Although this is war footage, there is no gruesome images of dismemberment or the like. This video is purely shooting various different weapons into various different buildings in Iraq. For what purpose or reason, I don’t know. NOTICE: NEW DEBATE(22/06/2008) “Is it possible to support the troops, and not the war?”. Any thoughts?

It is never known when and how depression catches a person. It is one of those diseases that come tiptoed into a person’s life and even the victim remains unaware of the fact that he/she has been attacked by a mental disorder. Actually the depression symptoms start showing right from the time a person becomes a depression patient. However, initially the depression symptoms seem to be so mundane and common that it becomes difficult to pinpoint them as depression symptoms. In some cases the patient gets back to normal without any form of treatment but in most of the cases treatment becomes mandatory. Depression can assume dangerous proportions if left untreated. It is extremely necessary that if a person remains in an unusual frame of mind for quite some time than he is taken for treatment. Many depression cases are left untreated for the simple fact that people are apprehensive of taking up the topic getting mental help. Going to a psychiatrist is still a taboo, even in the educated societies. People prefer to keep the matter of visiting a mind specialist under covers. This is one reason why the antidepressants that are marketed online have found a very decent customer base. People buy xanax online and other antidepressants as they are free of the embarrassment, the labor and the time all at the same time. However, in order to buy xanax the xanax prescription is a must or else there are the dangers of getting caught in the side effects.

However, there are certain circumstances when getting caught in depression or any other form of mental disorder is expected and understood. When the people who have to survive these circumstances get any form of mental disorder, their near and dear ones sympathize with them and they do not become the **** of ridicule in the society. The army men can prove to be the most apt example of this when people get mental diseases owing to the circumstances they are in. The fact of the matter is that people very often get depressed due to the circumstances only. The only difference is that it is not that surprising when troops deployed for wars, or army personals are diagnosed of depression and other mental disorders. For the layman, army people getting a mental disorder is nothing out of the world and it is something that is expected.

Inspite of all the training and degrees the tough life of the people in the military often take a toll on them, especially if they are in the war areas. To site an example the US armed forces that were posted in Afghanistan and Iraq are going through dire states inspite of belonging to the most powerful and mighty country in the world. The armed forces of the US definitely get better facilities in all aspects as compared to other countries, inspite of this, the military personals posted for years together in these war struck countries away from home and family, get mentally sick. Many such army personals committed suicide, others committed ***** and loots; still others have become mentally sick patients. Unfortunately there are not enough doctors who could attend to the mentally ill US army men. In order to solve this problem the government has come up with the idea of hiring psychiatrists from other organizations on a part time basis, on a fee off course. And guess what? The psychiatrists are not complaining. Over and above getting a fee many of them are glad that they have got a chance of serving the army who are pledged to serve their country and its people.

iraq
By James F. Cotter

Blackwater Worldwide, a private military company,  was founded in 1997 (as Blackwater USA) by Erik Prince and Al Clark.  Today the company is contracted by the U.S. government to provide security in Iraq.  Two-thirds of its government contracts are no-bid contracts,  and 90 percent of its revenue comes from these government contracts.  (1)

A staff report by the Committee on Oversight and Government Reform said that Blackwater was “staffed with reckless, shoot-first guards who were not always sober and did not always stop to see who or what was hit by their bullets.”   (2)

According to an IRS ruling, Blackwater “violated federal tax laws by treating an armed guard as an ‘independent contractor.’”  Congressman Henry Waxman observed, “The implication of this ruling is that Blackwater may have avoided paying millions of dollars in Social Security, Medicare, unemployment and related taxes for which it is legally responsible.”  (3)

Blackwater illegally required an employee “to sign a non-disclosure agreement before (Blackwater) agreed to pay the back pay and other compensation that he was owed.  The terms of this agreement  explicitly prohibited the guard from disclosing any information about Blackwater to ‘any politician’  or ‘public  official.’”  As Waxman said, “It appears that Blackwater used this illegal scheme to avoid millions of dollars in taxes and then prevented the security guard who discovered the tax  evasion from contacting members of Congress or law enforcement officials.”  (3)

On September 16, 2007, Blackwater gunmen opened fire on a Baghdad street, killing 17 civilians.  The shootings were unprovoked, according to witnesses,  who also reported that the gunmen continued firing while the Iraqi civilians were trying to run away.  Two Blackwater helicopters were also involved in the attack.  Although Blackwater claimed that its people were under attack, an FBI investigation concluded that at least 14 of the shootings were unjustified.  No evidence was found of an attack on the Blackwater employees.  (4)

Jeremy Scahill and Daniela Crespo, in The Nation, say  “Blackwater mercenaries are some of the most feared professional killers in the world and they are accustomed to operating without worry of legal consequences.”  In discussing the presence of hordes of Blackwater mercenaries on the streets of New Orleans in the wake of Hurricane Katrina, the authors wonder “why the government would allow men trained to kill with impunity in places like Iraq and Afghanistan to operate here.”  At least some of these Blackwater “troops” were said to have been deputized by the governor;  others were hired by wealthy individuals who had fled the city and wanted their property protected.  “With President Bush using the Katrina disaster to try to repeal  Posse Comitatus (the ban on using U.S. troops in domestic law enforcement) and Blackwater and other security firms clearly initiating a push to install their paramilitaries on U.S. soil, the war is coming home in yet another ominous way.  As one Blackwater mercenary said, ‘This is a trend.   You’re going to see a lot more guys like us in these situations.’”  (5)  (6)

In 2006 an SUV with Blackwater “security” men crashed into a U.S. Army Humvee in Baghdad’s Green Zone.   The Blackwater “security” people disarmed the soldiers,  forcing them  to lie on the ground at gunpoint  until the SUV  could be extricated.  (7)

Sourcewatch reports, “Blackwater  has receieved no-bid government contracts in Iraq, Afghanistan, and post-Katrina New Orleans, all from (George W. Bush’s)  administration.”  (8)

In March 2004, four Blackwater employees were killed in Iraq because the company had decided to save money ($1.5 million, as it turns out) by not buying armored vehicles.  (9)   Insurgents simply walked up to their vehicle and killed the men with small-arms fire.  An armored vehicle would have repelled the attackers.  When the families sought details about the incident, they ran into a stone wall.  The mother of one of the victims said, “We were actually told that if we wanted to see the paperwork on how my son and his co-workers were killed that we’d have to sue them.”    (10)

The grieving wife of one of the men says, “Blackwater seems to understand money. That’s the only thing they understand.  They have no values, they have no morals.  They’re ******.  They’re the ****** of war.”  (11)

Our roving reporter,  Frank “Scribbles”  Melooney,   managed to track down Blackwater owner Erik Prince, who does not like giving interviews,  by disguising himself as a tuna casserole.  Or that’s what he says.  I’m not sure I believe him.

The interview was rather short, as you will see.

 Q.  Why can’t the military handle these security  matters in Iraq and Afghanistan?  And domestically, isn’t Blackwater  somewhat usurping the role of the National Guard?

A.  We’re more efficient.  We’re better than they are.  The army and the National Guard—buncha pansies.

Q.  Blackwater does not seem to be accountable to anybody.

A.  We’re stronger than the government.  We do whatever we please. That’s the way God wants it.

Q.  Why do you say that?

A.  It’s  in the Bible.  Which you  obviously haven’t been reading, or you’d know.

Q.  Let’s see—your organization has tons of weapons.  You do whatever you want. You’re answerable to no one.  What’s to stop you from invading Poland?

A.  We are a peace-loving people, Frank.  We **** the idea of having to invade anybody.

Q.  Do you really?

A.  But that’s a good question. And the answer is:  Nobody.  Nobody can stop us.  Hmm,  Poland–I hadn’t thought of that one.

Q.  Are your employees given psychological tests?

A.  Urine tests.  They’re quicker.

Q.  Not really.  The urine has to be analyzed.

A.  We do analyze it.  If it’s any color but yellow, we won’t hire them. You wouldn’t believe some of the colors we’ve seen.

Q.  Some have  suggested that a large proportion of your employees are mentally unstable.

A.  Those people are  jealous.  Jealous  pinko  swishes.

Q.  Jealous of what?

A.  The size of our guns.  Don’t let anyone fool you—size counts. This “angle of the dangle” crap is left-wing poopy.

Q.  You’ve never felt that a great percentage of your people have deep-seated insecurities that lead them to crave power and control?

A.  It’s about time Christians had some power.

Q.  But Christianity has been the dominant religion in Western civilization for 2,000 years.

A.  Yes, but they never let us do anything–until  Blackwater came along.  Except the Crusades.

Q.  Who are “they”?

A.  You know.

Q.   No, I really have no idea who you’re talking about.

A.  The international banker set.  The Christ-killers.

Q.  Well,  I honestly don’t think we need to go on.

A.  I’ll tell you what to think, you little punk.

Q.  Goodbye, mister Prince.  There’s really no point in continuing.

A.  Hold it right there, sissypants.

Q.  Now, now, Mr. Prince—put down that gun.

A.  You’ll have to pry it out of–

Q.  Your cold, dead hands?

A.  How did you know what I was going to say?

Q.  I’m psychic.  Look, it’s Jennifer Aniston.

A.  Really?  Where?  I don’t see her.  Frank?  Where did you go?  Frank?

About BreadStreet Angel Investors:

Many people ask the questions–what is an angel capital investor, and what do they do? The term “angel capital” was coined in the early part of the 20th century. Angel capital investor, was the term given to investors that would fund Broadway plays. Over time however, the term angel capital investor or angel investor became synonymous with any investor willing to become involved with a startup business or a high risk venture. So, in plain words an angel capital investor is any private investor willing to get involved with a early stage or high risk business. However historically, finding angel investors was a daunting task. But, today some groups have organized to make getting angel capital investors an easier process; BreadStreet is such a organization. So, now you can find angel investors faster than ever before–for very little out-of-pocket expense.
